H1 transfer approval notice

My lawyer had filed for an H1 transfer from Company A to Company B in Jan'07, when I transfered my job. My H1 approval notice came only as a courtosy copy from USCIS without my new I-94 in March-07. The lawyer told it will take some time for the final approval notice to come with the I-94.

After waiting till May, The lawyer decided to put a re-application for my I-797.

But till today my H1 approval notice has not yet come.
Can someone please advise how much time does it normally take to get the transfered I-797? When I track the document on www.uscis.gov, it says approval notice send in March. Is there any other way to track the do

I have a similar situation. My H1B transfer petition was approved in June 2007, but I haven't received an approval notice as of today. My employer is willing to file for a duplicate (use form I-824 +$200 fee) next week.

H1 transfer approved w/o I-94

But the present processing dates for I-824 are Jan-07 for Cal. Service center. Those dates are pretty behind. Is there a way we can get it ASAP.
This is something which is not our fault.
