Traveling to India while changing status from H4 to H1

My current status (H4) is expiring on 30 Sept 2007. Luckily I got approval for my H1 now and I will be going for H1 stamping in Oct 2007 in Canada. I am planning to visit India from Aug-10 to Sept-15. Will there be any problem at the port of entry as my H4 will be expiring on 30 Sep? Please suggest me whom should I contact regarding the same.

why not get an appointment in India and delay your entry till Sep 21 that way you can enter using H1 and not need to go to Canada for stamping.

Since you have planned to be in India, it is best that you finish stamping your H1 in India and enter the US on Sept.21, which is permissible (ten days before Oct.01).

Your advise gives me a boost, I was a little concerned as i had a GAP of 2 years when i am in the USA and was thinking that there may be some issues which i am at this point not foreseeing them at all.

Anyways i really appreciate you time and thank you for your suggestions.
