hello everyone, please adv on this matter.

i saw that H1 or L1 stay is supposed to be for 6/5 years, after that we have to stay for one year outside and again come back to US.

But in my case i stayed in US for 1 1/2 year and went back to India for two years. Now i am back to US.

Does 6/5 yrs COUNT INCLUDES MY PREVIOUS STAY OF 1 1/2 YEAR OR THE COUNT OF 6/5 YEARS STARTS FRESHLY FROM MY PRESENT STAY.

---- You have to apply for a recapture of that period you were outside the country. This is done when you apply for your renewal of H1. It is only then that the total period is counted. It does not happen automatically
