Is job break between H1s a problem for stamping?

Hi all

I have returned from US a year ago after a stay nearly 6 years for attending to personal issues and did not join any company. Now I got the new H1 approved (different employer) planning to go for visa stamping.

Is this going to be any problem. Have any body gone for stamping with similar break in Jobs. Please let me know what did they write for questions 20 and 21 in the form DS-156 and what questions were asked by the VO to them. I write 'nil' to those questions and explain to VO when pointed; is that a good idea?

Any other suggestions for defending this situation.

1. What was you status for all 6 years of your stay in US?

In any case, it is always better to tell the truth to the visa Officer.

Thank you for the reply. as I said I was on H1b and came back and planning to go on new H1. The main issue is I haven't joined any company after I came back. I agree it is always better to tell the truth to the VO.

I am thinking to write 'nil' to the questions 20 and 21 (present occupation and present employer) and explain the above to the VO when and if pointed. What further ?s VO may have?
