Regarding H4 visa, can anybody advise?.... urgent??

Hi,

I am having H1B visa and stamped in the month of December 2006. After that I didn’t went to USA due to some personal reasons. At that time I am single.

I got married in the month of May 2007. Now, I am planning to go there and I want to take my spouse along with me in USA.


Moreover, is it mandatory husband should be there in USA already?

Can any body assist me, what questions they will ask in the consulate interview and also keep in mind I am still in INDIA and my visa stamped on last year?

What are the documents required for that.

Please advice asap.

You are in a precarious situation, your wife can get the visa but will have a hard time explaining why you never went to USA when you were supposed to. The company will have to provide paperwork regarding your job still being open and available to you.

Normally there is a 90 days window from proposed job start day to actually starting the job.

There is no such requirement that you should already be in USA.
