I-94 question!!! Please Help

Hi all,

this is my second post. can someone please help me?
I have an old visa valid till Feb 08, but I changed companies and now I have a new valid I-797, but had to leave US on an emergency, I detached the bottom portion of the new 797 and submitted it at exit and re-entered but the Immigration Officer a port of entry did not update my new i-94 to the current one. he said that he's going to give it till the old one....

So what status am i in? and how soon should i go for Visa

You will have to leave the country before the date stamped on I-94, irrespective of what is the validity date of the visa. However, I did not understand why the CBP officer did not stamp the validity date on new I797.

you can go back to CBP and ask them to correct the mistake. It is their mistake.
