Hello All,
This is my situation, I appreciate if someone can suggest me what could be an appropriate way of going ahead.
I am on H1 working in United States from Past 3 years. Did my masters(F1) and then got a H1 via company A, got my H1 stamped in Nov 2005 and is valid thru Sep 2008. And i have transfered my H1 to Company B and have been working for them from Nov 2006. Now my situation is, I have a valid H1 Stamp till Sep 2008 which is on Company A's name and a valid I797 form which is on Company B's name valid till Sep 2010. I am getting married in India in November 2007. And would like to bring my wife along with me to US after our wedding. For that i need to file H4 for her.
My question now is, Can i do my H1 visa renewal/transfer and file new H4 at the same time. Something like a group appointment?
or
would it be a good idea to get my H1 visa transfered (I got my first F1 to H1 done in Mexico, so i thought i will do the same) and then go to india in November, get married, file a new H4 and let my wife attend the visa interview.
or
Someone, Do you have any other suggestions.
I would greatly appreciate any answers for my questions.
Thanks,
firedup
