iam first time h1b approved and the interview is scheduled at chennai cons.in oct 2 .My passport is valied till dec 2008 and my h1b till 2010.I have read this will a problem at the port of entry even if the consulate stamp visa for 3 years.when i approached the chennai passport office for the extension of my passport they said they will extend only if the validity is below 1 year .they said me to apply for change of photo and automatically my passport will be renewed for another 10 years.iam planning to do this in thatkal.I WANT TO KNOW THE EXPERIENCED PEOPLE SUGGESSTION IN THIS ISSUE.
will this create any problem to my visa stamping bcos i have already booked the appointment.
