First of all I would like to thank you for putting up such an informative web site. It is a really BIG help for millions of people like me.
I have a little unusual situation with my Visa. I was approved of an H1-B visa (sponsored by company A) but I decided not to use it and instead came to US on my L1-B visa (which was issued just a few weeks before H1B was approved) from my current company B. This was about two years ago. If I have to go back to H1-B status now, would that be a fresh application (and hence limited by H1-B cap) Or will that be some kind of renewal of my old H1-B approval. What if my next employer (Company C ) is different from original H1-B sponsor? What should I be doing?
