I plan to start my MBA when 5yrs and 9 months of my H1-B will be complete. Since I will be moving to my F-1 for the fulltime MBA, after I graduate will a new 1 year OPT with a 6 year H-1B period start? or will I have only 3 months left before I should leave the country for one full year?

Also in the meantime is it advisable to have my employer process my green card? If my green card is in progress and I apply for my F-1, will my F-1 visa be rejected?

1. You have to be out of US for 1 year in order to be eligible for 6 years H1B again.
2. You can start green card process. It will not have a problem with F1 visa.
