H1 Transfer and India Trip

I came to US in May 2007 and I have changed my employer in August 2007. I am planning to go to India for one week as i have a family function to attend.

My H1B visa still contains previous employer information. can anyone detail me the procedure related to changing the same ?

Is it Mandatory that i have to go for stamping in India, before i return to US ? Can i enter US with previous H1B and the approval of h1 transfer ?

Any links which details the procedure will be appreiciated.
