During H1B transfer, Can i go to India

Hi,

I did my H1 transfer last month and it is still under processing. Due to very urgent personal reason i have to travel to India this weekend.

Can you please suggest me what should i be doing at this point in time? Thanks!!!

My consulting company says travel to India and once if it is approved we will send the documens to India, what is the negative point here?

Iam also in the similar situation, I have applied for transfer and i need to go to india due to family reasons. What are the risks involved in this process.

Can I come back with old visa and new I 797 ..
