H1B 221(g) 2008 FY

I attended H1B Visa interview in June 2007 in Chennai. I was given a 221(g) then asking for 9 docs from my employer. My consulatant is sending all the docs this week and I plan to attend for Visa again in Person next week. I had a option to either drop the docs through VFS or to attend in person. They have not asked for the Passport though.

1) Please advice if attending in person would help or is it sufficient if I drop the Docs in VFS office?

2) How long will it take for them to further process the docs submitted?

3) Is there anyone who has faced the same situation in in last 2 months?

---- Both the actions will give you the same result. the only positive point is if they have asked you to drop your Passport alongwith your documents, then a Visa may be issued

2) How long will it take for them to further process the docs submitted?

---- If it is only docs, there is no time limit. The speculated time is 6-8 weeks (extended by that much time every time the period gets over)

3) Is there anyone who has faced the same situation in in last 2 months?

---- Browse the forum and there are bundles of people like you and of course of even teh exact same situation

---- Hope everyone get the Visa when their credentials are proven right
