Hello !
Need advise on a particular situation i am in. I am an H1B holder working in the IT industry
I had transferred my H1 to an Consulting company in May. Took unpaid leave for 2 months from this company and remained in the U.S and then joined back in August. Remained on "bench" with no pay for the month of Aug. So in short i have been without a paystub since last 3 months. Now my questions are
1) At a later stage when i go for my H1 stamping (ie after i have obtained atleast 2-3 paystubs), will there be a query as to why i was without pay for the period May-August? Will they buy in the idea of unpaid leave and "bench"?
2) Will this particular situation influence in anyway while i go for "Green card" processing at a later stage?
Is this a risky process that i am currently in?....
Would appreciate any help and direction/recommendations in this regard...
Thanks !
Ajay
