CoS from L1to H1 denied

I applied for a H1 petition through a US based employer in April 2006 when I was in India and obtained the approval in sep 2006. I had L1 stamped on my passport through another employer in India. I travelled to the US on my Indian employer's L1 visa in Nov 2006. I am currently in the US since Nov 2006 on L1 obtained through my employer in India.

I applied for CoS from L1 to H1 in Aug 2007. I got a response from the INS that this has been denied. My question : Since my Cos to H1 was denied, is my I-94 and L1 visa still valid. Can I continue to stay in US on L1.

Is there any way to find out whether my L1 and I 94 is still valid now.

Is ther any way to find out the reason and any chances of appeal.

CoS from L1to H1 denied

Did u get to know the reason for CoS denial? Was it a new H1 for a different employer?
