green card?

Hi friends,

I worked in the US from 2004-07 using J1 visa as a teacher.
This year I am continuing my work at the same place using H1B visa.

Just wish to know the following?

1. Am I eligible to apply for a green card?
2. What is the best and legal way to apply for this status? ( I mean AOS or some other processing method?

---- That depends on your employer, your suitability and other terms of employment and the category under which you will be applying for a Green Card

2. What is the best and legal way to apply for this status? ( I mean AOS or some other processing method?

---- The only legal way is apply through your employer or independently (as a family sponsored member)

---- The processing method is only by starting through labor certification and rest of the legal process. The time taken is dependent on the category of green card you apply for
