Hello Forum Members,
I travelled from USA to India a couple of days back and after returning back to India I realized that the Airline staff has NOT taken my I-94 card. I travelled with my family and the I-94 cards of my family members are taken, but mine is left in the passport itself (I think it was because there was too much crowd in the ticketing counter and the Airline staff must have missed this part with my passport).
Some more info:
I was working there in USA on H1B and my visa expires on 30th September 2007. So, I have returned before the expiry of my visa. My company has applied for extension of my H1B, but I am not planning to go back to USA in the next one year.
Questions:
a) Is there any problem due to this? Am I going to have problems getting visa or problems at the port of entry next time? Because, I think submission of I-94 is the only way to prove that I have exited USA.
b) What should be done to solve any potential problems?
Please share your advise.
