Travel to Mexico on H-1B??

Hi, I am on H-1B ..but my visa stamp (H-1B stamp) is with a former employer. I am thinking of traveling to Mexico (Tijuana) for 2-3 days and come back to the US. Are there any visa issues? Do I need to get my H-1B stamped in the name of my current employer for returning to the US? Is it mandatory? Please help.
