  • Consulate asked to sign a paper during H1B appt.

    Hi all,
My sister has very disappointing H1B appointment.
They asked her who paid visa issuance fee and she misunderstood as visa appointment fee and she replied I paid for now and company will reimburse later.
Then consulate asked her to sign a paper saying I paid $2000/- to xyz company to xyz person and I am withdrawing my H1 petition with this xyz company. They said her that if she won’t sign that document they will make sure that she will never enter USA.
I know she should have thought the difference between $2000 and Rs 4500. But I guess she was tense and signed the document.
They didn’t stamp anything in her passport as rejected.
In this case will the xyz company will be receiving the paper that my sister signed?
    Will this xyz company blacklisted?
Is my sister eligible to reapply?
The issued I797 becomes invalid because she signed that letter.
Please let me know you valuable experiences and insights of this issue.
    Sincerely,
    Bhusat
