H1 visa transfer in Inda...Urgent Help required

Hello All

I am presently on H1. I came to US 7 months back. Due to some unavoidable circumstances back at home, I would be travelling to India next month. Please help me by clarifying my below queries:


1> Can I transfer my H1 from my current employer to another employer when I am in India?

2> What would be the procedures and precautions that I need to take?

3> Will transfer process in India be as lengthy as that for applying for new H1 itself?
