Query regarding H1 transfer

I am working with X company on an H1-B visa. My visa had expired last year, my employer X had filed for my extension and I have got the approved petition till Nov 2009. Meanwhile I got a better offer from another employer Y in May 2007, and I applied for an H1 tranfer through him. But due to some reasons, the project that I had got through employer Y got scrapped. So I am continuing to work with employer X. However, I have received the approved petition in June 2007, for the H1-B that was filed by employer Y, and am looking for projects through employer Y. My question is : If at all, I want to work with employer Y, is there a maximum time frame within which I have to get a project through employer Y ? Any help on this would be appreciated.
