Urgent plzz--L2 to H1 status.

I was holding L2 visa validity untill 2008. I came to india in feb 2007 and applied for H1 in April 2007 from india.I am in india right now working. I got the information that my H1B has approved in AUgust 2007.
I am waiting for my papers , so i can attend for stamping for H1.

I have a few questions on this.

1) Can't i travel to us before my H1 stamping and can attend for stamping after entering to US?
2) If i attend for H1 stamping in india and if i got query or reject, Can my L2 staus will still valid? ( My wife is working On L1).

you can travel on your L2, then come back and get H1 stamped and travel on H1

L2 will be valid unless the consulate cancels it.

What are the chances that, consulate will cancel L2 visa when some problem with my new H1?

After going to US on L2 visa, Can I get H1 stamped from Canada instead of India?
