H1 transfer

I am applying for a H1 transfer, but suddenly i realize that my wife passport is expired a month ago, my question is do my wife passport's validity is required in the process of H1 transfer or not , because what i know is that in I-129 form it asks about the validity of each person in the applying petition. so can any let me know , because if it is necessary i can apply for passport renewal and then apply for H1 transfer.

Your passport renewal and H1 transfer can go concurrently.

For H1 transfer pp is not needed.
