Urgent Advise -L1 interview but have a H1 petition

Hi

I am in a critical situation.I work for company A, at begining of the year, i got through a consultant B and filled a H1 visa.. and i got the LIN number and petition for H1B, Now my present company A has filled a L1 B visa for me (AS per the company norms its compulsory). Now i have my L1 B interview in next week.

Kindly advise for the following.
1) wat shall i answer if the officer asks me abt the H1 petition.
2) Willl there be a rejection of L1 as i have a active H1 petition ?
3)Wat could be the best answer to say the officer when he/she asks about the H1 petition filled by the company B?

Nobody knows your H1 other than you if you ever entered in to US in the past.
Just applying H1 ( you can apply 10 h1b) will not affect anything.

2) Willl there be a rejection of L1 as i have a active H1 petition ?

Your H1 is active if applied H1 is approved, you get your h1 visa stamped in your pp, you entered into US and obtain an I 94 card. Until then your h1 is just a piece of paper and has no value.

3)Wat could be the best answer to say the officer when he/she asks about the H1 petition filled by the company B? read above answer

Landed in same situation

Hi GreatGuru,

I have also landed in the same situation as Lavanya, but a small change.

My present company wanna file Blanket L1 for me(as per company norms, its compulsory). I haven't yet applied, but wanna make sure nothing goes wrong.

1) Can I give the documents filled to my present company and ask them to file L1B for me?
2) If I file L1B, got visa and later step in US and work on L1B, will there be any effect on H1B later.
3) My main point of questioning is as both L1 and H1 are petitions, can both be applied at the same time?

Sorry if i'm asking the same questions again. I need more clarification in this regard.
