Query regarding Name problem for H1B please help

Hi All...


I've a query. In my 10th marks list and in pass port have the name as GUPTHA but in remaining all degree marks list I've name as GUPTA. And planning to go for H1B. Can any one suggest what to do in this case.

Shouldn't be a problem

It shouldn't be a problem. This is not uncommon.

However, if you're a very cautious person, you can do either of the two:

1. Write a short letter explaining the mis-match and sign it yourself.
2. Get an affidavit done that states all these names belong to one person, that is yourself. Your local attorney will have the standard statement with him/her for the affidavit.

Again, the affidavit is also not uncommon, it's usually required for admission to the medical colleges in India where the previous certificates have different spellings of the name.
