PassPort change after visa appointment booking

Hi friends
my wife is going for H4 visa stamping to chennai consulate
After applying for the visa appointment, she went ahead to add spousename
in the passport, indian passport office issued a new passport with a different
passport number (with the updated spouse name)

And vfs site modify link for DS-15X forms doesn't allow to change the passport
number

Is there any issues going ahead with the both the passports and explain ?

Take the old passport along with new one.
