Urgent - Need Help

I am in US now and will be going on vacation to India which would require stamping as my visa is expired and I have a current approval notice.
When I was going through online interview process, I saw following-

"The following applicants do NOT qualify for appointments in the visa renewal category:
Applicants who have a U.S. visa that expired more than 12 months ago."

On my passport the visa expiry date is 14th Oct 2006 which more than 12 months old.

Would it be a problem for me? I have the approval of my H1B extension until Mar 2010.

I would appreciate your immediate feedback.

Do not take appointment in the VISA renewal category. Take the appointment in general category.

Do you know how do I get the General Category appointment?

I just went vfs site and selected apply for non-iimigrant visa.

I also had the same problem. My visa was expired in Sep 2006 and have the extension till 2010. There was discussion in this forum earlier regarding the same issue. And I have read the responses posted mentioning that some had contacted vfs directly and got the response that there are no problems with this. I took an appointment for dec 20th.
select the option An Indian citizen resident in the US and for "Are you applying for same visa class that expired in the last 12 months?" select No since the visa has been expired more than 12 months
