H1B Expiring Soon (6 yrs)

My wife's H1B visa will expire on April 2008. It will be her 6th year. We asked somebody to process her labor cert but until now, we haven't received any feedback yet.

What is the best thing to do?

You would have filed your labor cert before April 2007 in order to qualify for H1b, 7th year extension.

You missed the boat, if you want to continue on H1 in the furute, you have to leave US for one year ( physically stay one year outside US) and get fresh H1 through quota to work another 6 years.

It was filed already in November 2003. But the priority date now is not current yet. Will she be able to extend it?

It was filed last November 2003 but the case was closed already. She was asked for a new filing date. Will it still be considered? Can she renew it?
