Am I Resident ro Non-Resident Alien!!

Hello Help,

I came to U.S. in June 2006 on H1-B visa.

I have a question, Am I resident or Non-Resident Alien of U.S.?

I read one article saying that, if a person stay in U.S. for more than 140 days, then he will become resident of U.S. Is it true?

Please clarify my doubt....

you are a resident only for tax purposes, not a permanent resident of GC holder.

Remember you only file tasex like you area resident with same rules as a citizen.
