Question on H1 Transfer

Hi,
I have a question to ask->

I got my H1B stamped now from Company A (Passport stamped but not travel done as yet).

Now, I see some issues with company A sending me to US now.
So I have never been to US till now and dont know when A will make me travel.
So I want to explore further opportunities.
Question1: If I get a job with company B in US (When I am applying siting in india). Will company B, be able to legally transfer by H1 from Company A to B ??

Question 2: Is this transfer considered same as "Someone transferring from US company A to B sitting in US"? Or there are any differences ??

Question 3:
Are all H1 transferrable ?, If not How can I find my H1 type ?

Regarding 1:
After I travel for first time with company A, "How much minimum time I should be in US before I can start looking for a job change"?

2. What documents are necessary from Company A before I can apply for job with Company B.

1. There is no such minimum time.
2. Just like new H1.

H1B Transfer

I am working with one company with H1B expiry date of May 2010. I have decided to change my job and my new employer is going to file a new petition for H1B transfer with a start date of March 1st 2008.

My question is do I have to join the new company on March 1st 2008? Or can I join one or two months later than march 1st 2008 and during that time can I continue to work for my present employer.
