Current Employer Offer letter misplaced

Hi All,

I have been working with an IT company in Pune, India for the last 3.5+ years. I have a H1-B visa appointment on 20th Nov for a US based company that i had applied for.

The problem is that i have misplaced my original offer letter from my current employer that was sent sometime in 2004.

I do have a copy of the same and all the pay stubs since Mar 2004 until now(of the same company)

is this is a problem?

You can ask your current employer to give you a employment verification letter.

Hi,

Actually i did try asking them for the employment verification letter. They asked why and who and a million other questions.

Finally they gave me a link which had a uploaded copy of the offer letter.

They told me to use this copy. As for employment verification for things like loans, they told me they can give a letter saying i work with them, but not since how long!! []

Any guys with my kinda a situation and want to share the experience.
