Can I still file H1Transfer?

I am one week status post H1b. Waiting for my EAD. Not sure when EAD will come (given current case load on USCIS).

My question is can I still file for transfer of H1b to new employer since I have left the previous job one week ago or transfer should have been filed before I left the previous employment?

I will appreciate the response of senior members.. Thanxs.

EAD, whatever the work load should be approved within 90 days.

It is advisable keep your H1 always valid by renewing or transfering it until your I 485 gets approved. Nowadays the % of I 485 denial is keep growing.
