Need to know about H1B duration

HI everybody!

I wanted to know that

Suppose my H1B stamping done on 1st Jan 2008 and i want to land in states on 1st May 2008 then when my H1B duration expires??

is it count as per my stamping date 1st Jan 2008 to 1st Jan 2011?

or

is it count from 1st May 2008 to 1st May 2011?

or

is it count as per date in petitioner approval notice?

there are two things your H1 will be valid till the date on the approval letter.

But you six year clock will start from the date you enter

U mean that When i enter in States on 1st Jan 2008 then I can stay till 1st Jan 2011.

with this scenario suppose my approval notice expires on 1st Jan 2007 then what will be the status?

Your visa is issued as per petition..

The movement you petition getting expire you can extend to another 3 years..

Actually i just wanna know that I will fly to states month later from my stamping. like 3 months later . so is there any cut off in my 3 years or i can stay fully 3 years over there or 2 months and only 9 months only .........

no man... if ur visa got appoved by june 1 st 2007 it will expire by june 1st 2010.. its not matter how many days or months or years u being in US.
