Hi,
I am an F1 student on OPT right now. It ends Feb, 05.
I have interviews with a couple of big companies like Msoft in the next couple of months. I know they might have some H1 slots reserved.
I heard that the H1cap wont even last till Oct.
Even though I am confident, I am not a 100% sure of the outcome of the interviews, and I wont be able to know the results till atleast this December, by then the quota will be gone.
So, my questions is can I have my H1 filed by a private consulting company, have the start date in Feb,04? if I get a job with the big company, can I forget about this H1 and ask them to do one for me out of their quota, if I get the job before my H1 start date?
or do I have to transfer my H1 there?
I would appreciate any ideas on solving this issue. My first preference is Msoft.
