H4 vacation while H1 extension is needed.

My H1B is valid until 15th-March-2005. I need to apply for extension. I am planning to send my wife (who is on H4) to India for vacation during Nov'04 for 5 months (.ie. she will come back only after 15th-March-2005

In the meanwhile, when she is in India, can I send extension for my H1B alone ?

With the new extended I-797 approval notice that I will get for my H1B, can my wife get H4 in India ?


Someone please help me..I have the necessity to send my wife to india during Nov for 5 months.
