New Passport with Corrections

I booked the date for my H1 with my passport which I am currenly holding. But I want to add my spouse name in the passport. If I do that Passport office will issue the new possport with old possport link number. In that case can I go for the stamping with new passport number which is going to be attached with old passport number. In that case what ever the date I booked with old passport number will it valid or can i have to take seperate HDFC recipt and go for new date.


Can you please suggest me on this ASAP.

if u have already book the appointment, u can go to the consulate for the interview whih is already scheduled with the old passport no. but u need to intimate the vfs person while submiting the documents for verification.... make sure to carry both the passports.
