H1 & h4 Renewal stamping - appointments

Myself and my wife are planning our visa stampings in chennai sometime in spetember. Can somebody please tell me if we have to get seperate appointments.
It looks like we cannot use dropboxes for extension/revalidation stamping after June.We both currently have valid stampings till the end of June. My company applied for extensions in February and I am yet to get the extension papers

Any help will be greatly appreciated
