221(g)-help required

Firstly I wish everyone a happy new year 2008.
Thanks to subramanyam & ALL others who are helping everyone with their replies.
I had my interview on 4thDec@chennai and was given 221(g) to submit additional dox via VFS from my employer+my passport. I had done it on the 19thDec and didnt hear from them till now.
I am working in london and came on a holiday to file H1B. But, now I finished my holidays but still dragging them which may cause trouble to my job.

Since my passport is with them, I cant return back.
Can people suggest me the various options & THE BEST OPTION available to me plz.
(can I request to return my passport while asking to process 221(g) query)

---- Only request for your Passport via an email. They can return that to you at an address that you specify within the country of your present residence (assuming it is England)

---- Do not worry about 221g. they will process it anyway
