Seniors Pls Reply - Urgent. Can we attend for H4 after H1 papers got approved?

Dear All,

I got my H1 Approval last year and I have also applied for my wife's H1 through the same company but her approval got delayed due to 2 queries back to back and the company lastly answered query on dec 10th.

Mean while i have taken visa interview appointment for both of us for H1 and H4 in jan third week and on Jan 10th 2008, her H1 papers got approved.


* So Shall we go ahead with H4 interview for her and later apply for COS or shall we take H1 appointment for her cancelling her H4?

* Will it be a problem if she attends for H4 now after her H1 papers got approved?


Please clarify my Question to go ahead for visa interview. And also please guide me to handle the situation in a better way.

Hi,

Since her H1 application got approved,its better cancel H4 and take the interview on H1B..

Later it will be difficult for her to get convert from H4 to H1..

In order to cancel or reschedule her H4, even i need to cancel/Reschedule my H1 Appointment also, which i dont want to do as it is already very late to attend the visa interview for 2007 quota.

When tried to cancel her appointment: i got to see the following in VFS site

Your interview is scheduled together as a family, all the applicants listed will be cancelled together. You cannot select individual cancel.

So will it be that difficult later to change her status from H4 to H1.
Seniors -Pls suggest and recommend your thoughts on this...

As of now i am planning to attend my H1 along with her H4 in Jan third week and later before going to US, my wife will attend her H1 interview.

Pls suggest me ASAP as my interview date is just 4 days from now and i need to take a decision!
