Wrong Lastname on H1-B extention

Hi,

I have recieved H1-B extention approval notice from INS but the family name /last name "Menon" is wrongly spelled as "Memon".
Actually even on the Receipt Notice it was wrong but unfortunately I never noticed.My company is saying its not a problem for revalidating the Visa.Can anyone please help me with some information?

I am facing the same problem. My last name in I-797 is also spelled incorrectly. Did you have any problems getting visa stamped? Please let me know what to do.

I also had a similar case. But did not face any problem in Immigration. During the h1 extension, I had my lawer correct the name. ( Added a reply, so that some one else can benefit from reply).
