Additional Part Time Visa

I did PhD and am working for a company full time on H1B. My professor wants me to help him in research / teaching and want to hire me 10 hrs a week snd pay for that. Is this possible?

Does the petition also needs "Determining the prevailing wage through the Texas Workforce Commission "
and
"Certification of a Labor Conditions Application by the Dept. of Labor" for this additional part time H1-B also. Any help in this matter will be highly
appreciated.

You can legally work for your school.

Apply "concurrent h1b" with all LCA (Same like a new H1), prevailing wage etc.
once approved you can work and get pay check from school and also from present h1 employer.

Concurrent H1-B Visa

Please clarify, does approval required before start working for concuurent visa, or just applying for concurrent visa is fine (as in the case of transfer Visa).
