221g blue form for H1

Hi all, unfortunately I got a 221g blue form when I attended my H1 interview in November 2007. I work for an Indian IT major traveled to USA on B1 a couple of times in 2006 and applied for H1 through a consultant (who has a descent profile, its a $5 million dollar company). But its fate that the lady who interviewed me dint ask anything about my profile or experience. She was straight on to the project and was not convinced why the said client for whom my employer is developing the product in the project is required.
She went through all the tax papers and unemployment wage reports my employer gave (Which later I came to know were incomplete)
And she gave me a blueform 221g ticked a list of documents and asked me to submit them through VFS WITHOUT passport! (this was also ticked clearly on the back of the blueform she gave me.
I submitted the documents my employer gave after seeing the blueform in the first week of this month January 2008!
Can someone tell when I may get an update from consulate? What could be my fate? Ideally what is the processing time for 221g blueform without passport? What could be my fate, there are a number of such questions eluding me for days, it will be great help if anyone can through some light on my situation!

Hi,
it depends upon how much perfect is your paperwork.
The VO is very experienced and knows all this tantrums which Agencies do for getting H1B approved, they now require a Client letter which speifices your name and duties and also has your name on it ..undersigned by the Client Manager, as they know Mjaority of the agencies don't have direct client,,and they act a brokers..only...so just keep your finger crossed...and hpe for the best..

221g blue form

Hi ,
I am also got the same 221g blue form with "No passport". They gave me all the documents with passport except DS-156 and DS-157 forms.
Along with petitioner documets i need to drop these DS-156 and DS-157 also.

Can I use old DS forms copies [copies of forms that I gave at consulate]?
Please tell me the procudere to drop the documents at VFS office?
