L1 A to H1 B

I am on L1 A from Company A. I wish to apply for H1 B from Company B.

I would like to know what heppens to my L1A, if H1 B is approved in October.

Can I have both L1 A and H1 B as long as i am in USA?

If so, is there any limt that H1 B will be expired?
