Travel aboard with EAD and Travel document question , please help urgent!!

I am a H1B holder and entered U.S. last year with H1B visa and i am now also I-485 (Adjustment of Status) pending sponsored by company. My H1B visa is now expired while i am in U.S. but i already got EAD card and travel document. Can i apply for visa to Europe and travel back in U.S. with these 2documents only? I am not sure if custom care about expired H1B anymore since i have EAD and travel document. Any recommend would be very helpful. Thank you.

AP yes, EAD not applicable

AP is the document you use to re-enter United States pending your I-485. EAD is only a work permit and not applicable.
