    Timelimit on H1 stamping

    I have received my H1 visa last month, by change of status from F1 to H1. Is there a time limit by which H1 visa must be stamped on my passport.
    How safe is Canada? Several of my class mates who have converted from F1 to H1 are contemplating going to India to get visa stamped.
