H1B questions

Hi ,

I'm on h1b and my wife got H1 in sept 2007. So right now is she not dependent on me, But she could not able to get job till now because of her health and market.

My questions are

1) How long she can stay on H1 status without job?
2) Will it create any hindrance in future?
3) She got SSN so how this tax and all works with her?

1) How long she can stay on H1 status without job? Not even a month. No pay check means no H1 status.2) Will it create any hindrance in future? Definetly YES3) She got SSN so how this tax and all works with her? If there is no income where is the TAX
Immediately change her H1 to h4 , whenever she gets a right employer with job then you can go back to H1 again.

Thanks for your reply..! If I change her status from H1 to H4 than later if we want to go back to H1 do we need to run through lottery process again? and to convert her H1 to H4 do we need pay stubs..?
