H1B trasfer and H4 visa

I'm working in Company A for the more than a year with H1B.
Now company B offered a job and I'm in a position where I have to take up that job immedietly.
Company B told that they will process the H1B trasfer in the premium processing and get the H1B papers within 2 weeks.

I have to go to India in January 2004 for my marriage.
Do I have to get my H1 stamped in India or can I send my Company B H1B approval and get the H4 visa stamped for my wife.

Please let me know. Thanks

H1 stamp in passport is used only for your own entry into US.

You can send your new H1 approval papers for H4 visa.

My H1B visa is having my old company name and is valid till Dec 2005. Now when i apply H4 visa for my wife Should my visa reflect the currnet/new company?

Based on your reply my understanding is that I dont have to get my visa stamped again. I can just send my new H1B approval and get my wifes H4 visa stamped.
Is it correct.?

Hi rahulg,

I'm in a similar situation. My wife will be applying for a new H4 sometime in Jan 2004. I too have my H1 stamped for my previous employer. I have the approval notice from my present employer. So, I just wanted to confirm with you or anyone else, that its OK to send a copy of my valid stamped H1 visa and the new approval for my wife to apply for the H4. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!
