Hello!!
I am planning to apply for a H4 visa next month along with my husband's H1 visa at mumbai consulate. I am carrying a indian passport. I have a question regarding my passport expiration date. My passport expires in July 2005 and my husband's H1 approval notice expires Oct 2005. Will there be a problem in H4 visa issuance since the passport expires earlier then the approval notice date and also the u.s consulate website says that passport should be valid atleast 6 months beyond date of travel. I called up the indian passport office and they told me that they renew passports only one year before expiration. I am having almost 2 years on passport yet. Pl reply.
