H4 Visa - I94

Hi Guys,

I am working in XYZ company with Valid H1B Visa. Mine and my Family I-94 was till July 2008.

After that I changed my Company to ABC, so i got the New H1B Visa papers with New I-94 . Valid till in July 2009. But the ABC company didnt Apply anything for my Family. They still Hold the old I-94 which is going to Expire on July 2008.

Now My Question here is, After July 2008 Still my Family can stay with me in US without any issue. Because i have valid I-94 expires in July 2009 only for me..Not for my Family.

Please give me a suggesstion.

You are responsible for your family status not your company

Your family's I 94 belong to your family only. SO you have to get it renewed before its expiry. Your company nothing to do with it. If you don't renew the I 94, your family will be out of status

H4 Visa - I-94 Status

Hi,

I have Valid I-94 till July 2009.

My Wife does have the Valid I-94 till July 2008.

When i transfer my H1B visa, the New company filed new I-94 only for me not for my Wife. So she still have that I-94 Valid till only July 2008.

My question here is, do i need to apply for a new I-94 for my wife? or My I-94 valid dates are ok for them?

please let me know...otherwise i have to reapply a new I-94 for my wife.

you need to file for H4 extension before I-94 expiry of H4 holder.

Only if a travel is planned taking you abroad that you can get away with not filing for extension.
