H1B Transfer Problem...Help..Urgent

I am on H1B status (programmer) for last 3 years in USA.Worked for Company A on H1, last pay check issued March 2001. But Visa valid upto September 2003.Till date don't know whether H1 is cancelled by company A.Company B filed for transfer of my H1 in July last week 2002.Currently working and receiving paychecks from company B from date of filing.Still my H1 is not processed.

I had to make a urgent trip to india and now worried if i can go back to USA. I have a stamped visa till Sep 2003 by company A and the h1 filed by Company B is under process.

Please Help. Urgent please...
